Our frames are better!First off they look better, but that's not the reason they are better. Our USA made metal frames are better quality because they are made from better materials, and contain better workmanship. And, we don't make false claims to get your business. There is no such thing as triple chrome plating, nor is there any such thing as butter-brass.Here are the facts! Our frames are coined from solid premium quality rolled "SHEET" brass as a base material. It takes all this brass shown to make one frame (1.6 pounds). Solid sheet brass is used for several reasons, but mostly because it is hard, has a flat level surface (unlike cast brass or pot-metal frames) and its non-porous so it polishes better, and because it can be coined to a perfect product. The finer the polish the finer the chrome or gold plating results. The more perfect the shape of the frame the better it looks. Coining is the precision way to manufacture a metal product. It involves costly tooling, but it's the only way to get quality. The end product is finely formed and has a smooth level quality finish. A heavy coating of electro-plate nickel goes over the highly polished brass frame before adding hard chrome or 23k gold. This premium process enhances the luster. (Compare those old cast coins found on sunken ships with the quality of our present day "coined" coins.) We don't have to water the products in our photos to hide imperfections, there aren't any. TABS: Every 2-hole "coined" frame we offer has tabs on the back to hold the license plate. You won't find that on those casting-made heavy frames. Engravings: All engravings are done on computer programmed machines and hand filled with our own premium special formula epoxy. These frames will last! They'll never rust or corrode. They'll look good for years. Weight: There's no reason why a license plate frame should weigh nearly a pound (like cast frames). Frames are sold for beauty and durability, neither of which is enhanced by adding unnecessary weight to your vehicle. Quality auto accessories are not sold by the pound. You just can't buy a better frame anywhere at any price! AND, they're made right here in the USA. |
